2015 – Year of the Sheep or Year of the Goat
(2015, 2003, 1991, 1967, 1943, 1931)
The Sheep (Ram or Goat), is the eighth animal in the Chinese zodiac. Depending on which culture you come from, this year can be called the Year of the Goat, Ram or Sheep. It represents solidarity, harmony and calmness. If you were born in the Year of the Sheep, you are considered to be polite, mild mannered, shy, imaginative, determined and have good taste. A Sheeps person’s negative traits are sometimes pessimistic, being unrealistic, short-sighted and slow in behavior.
2015 is also the Year of the Wood Sheep or Green Sheep. Wood relates to trees, thus the color green. The more calm atmosphere of the Sheep combining with the evergreen and renewal aspects of Wood will result in the unleashing of the Sheep’s creativity.
Last year was the Year of the Horse, with tendencies to gallop and take off. This year is for contemplating and appreciating what has already been accomplished, to think about bringing goodness to others and to take a deep breath and calmly look at what’s ahead.
