Lorraine Mock, L.Ac
Lorraine Mock, a California Board Licensed Acupuncturist earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Science from San Francisco State University in 1981. After working in various medical laboratories for over 20 years, she decided to change careers and studied at the Body Therapy Center in Palo Alto, CA where she learned Swedish massage, Zen Shiatsu and Acupressure.
While learning Shiatsu, Lorraine became interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine and went on to earn a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco. At ACTCM Lorraine gained experience in not only treating general medical conditions, but also treating acute rehab patients in the Stroke Clinic at California Pacific Medical Center-Davies Campus. She also gained experience doing community acupuncture at ACTCM’s Ear clinic.
Working as lead acupuncturist and office manager for Dr Lifang Liang, a gynecology and fertility specialist, Lorraine received in-depth training in treating all aspects of gynecological and infertility issues. Lorraine also studied under Professor Jialing Yu and finished her Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Dermatology certificate program, which she completed in September 2012. This was the first program of its kind to be offered in the United States. Lorraine is interned under Professor Jialing Yu in her dermatology clinic in San Francisco. In 2017-2018, she completed Mazin Al-Khafaji’s Dermatology Diploma course, expanding her dermatology treatment knowledge even more.
In her spare time, Lorraine likes to knit, crochet, paint and play the piano.
